Nurses

Our practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses who can help with a wide range of  health issues.  Some of the services they offer include advice about family planning , healthy-living advice and smoking cessation. They also run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes.  They can perform immunisations, blood pressure checks, cervical smears, ECGs (tracings of the heart), lung function tests, dressings, suture removals and much more.  

Some are also trained to deal with minor illnesses.

Health Practitioners

Emily Ross

Emily is a trained paramedic who works for us an urgent care practitioner. She is able to see patients with minor illnesses under the supervision of our GPs

Zoe Tanter

Zoe Tanter is a Physician Associate who works part time with us and the rest of the week with other Harpenden GP practices. She works alongside our paramedic, and under the supervision of our GPs, consulting with patients with a wide range of different problems.

Lisa Simmonds

Lisa Simmonds is one of two first-contact physiotherapists who have joined our team, working with us and the other Harpenden GP surgeries. They will be able to help patients with muscolo-skeletal problems.

Miranda Lyell

Miranda Lyell is one of two first-contact physiotherapists who have joined our team, working with us and the other Harpenden GP surgeries. They will be able to help patients with muscolo-skeletal problems.
